GT-1® dexos1

Kendall® GT-1 dexos1 Gen3 Motor Oil is a premium quality, full-synthetic engine oil that meets the dexos1 Gen3 specification from General Motors.

The dexos1 line has been replaced by GT-1 MAX Full Synthetic Motor Oils.

Kendall's GT-1® dexos1™ Full Synthetic Motor Oil (NXGN) meets GM's dexos1 Gen2 specification. As inventory is depleted on this product, it will be replaced by the newly formulated Kendall GT MAX Motor Oil that now meets GM’s dexos1 Gen2 specifications.

Following extended periods of use, engine lubricants are subject to thickening, a phenomenon that causes increased wear on engine components. Dexos-1 Motor Oils are designed to perform better and be more resistant to oxidation and oil breakdown. Additionally, oils meeting the Dexos1 specification are designed to resist deposit formation on pistons, allowing for full compression to occur. This can increase fuel economy while decreasing emissions.

Superlative testing not normally conducted on engine oils is the defining characteristic of Dexos-1 motor oils. They are tested for greater resistance to viscosity changes in various temperatures and are shown to have greater low-temperature pumpability than most oils meeting previous specs.

Additionally, Dexos engine oils undergo extensive volatility testing. Essentially, these oils are formulated to resist being consumed during use. This performance characteristic leads to extended drain intervals and less subsequent wear on engine components. Make certain your GM vehicle has the only oil it will ever need.
